All old things eventually meet their gentrifier and moonshine has been no exception. The once backwoods flammable drink of Appalachia is now being brewed in Martinsville West Virginia by a group of Hipsters. They brew their moonshine in the day and consequently call it “Sunshine” written in all Comic Sans of course.
Reviews have been mixed to say the least. In blind taste tests they are scoring well above expected for such a new brew with so much competition. But the name and the owners give the beer an overwhelmingly gay quality that has not sat well in West Virginia but for expected reasons is drawing much business from San Francisco. Owner Pheon Harbinger notes this description saying “I can see that our Sunshine makes some sad even though it is Sunshine. But money is money so I really don’t care.”
